Whale Tail

I have had this piece of green Ancient Swamp Kauri for 28 years. I recovered it from a farm I was managing at the time and have been wondering what to do with it ever since.

I have carved several Whale tails over the last few years and thought a green one may look quite nice.

This one measures 56 cm wide x 40 cm tall.

I have tried to get the photos as accurate as I can but as with most Swamp colour can change quite a bit in different lighting. This piece can look quite dark, almost black with green patches in some light and almost brown / green in different lighting. The base is from the same log so colouring is similar, plus some nice gold highlights.
