Swamp Kauri crving.

This beautiful carving emerged from an off-cut piece of Swamp Kauri. A little large and pretty to throw away. I chipped away at it until this stunning figure emerged.

I didn't have much of an idea of what it would become but sometimes you just have to chip away at the cracks and faults in the timber until something emerges and gives you a path to follow.
