This large Ancient Kauri Box is made from timber I salvaged from a peat swamp in northern New Zealand.
I had the stump and trunk of the tree milled about 18 years ago, this is one of the last remaining pieces I have left.
This box is made from the main trunk of the tree which explains the plainer colours and straight grain.
It Measures approximately 25.5 x 17 cm and has 2 levels inside.
