This lovely little box is made from a beautiful Ancient Kauri Burl. This piece of timber was retrieved from a swamp that contains 3 different layers of timber, the top layer is dated at 38,000 years, the second at 45,000 years and the deepest layer at 60,000 years, so this box is between 38,000 and 60,000 years old.
